Font - IAmAn Anne 1 hr. ago man I think I would explode with rage. Who gives out keys instead of walking people through the apartment?! How lazy can they be? UK?

Human body - IAmAn Anne 47 min. ago You doubt the laziness of landlords? ;)

Font - sir_damion OP. 3 hr. ago I'm not sure. The council have been round once or twice apparently they're investigating him as he's a pretty dodgy guy but the police haven't seemed to have said anything about that being an issue

Font - IAmAn Anne 5 hr. ago Absolutely, these were thieves. Landlord should be liable for all of her stuff in my opinion. It's negligence. I'm no solicitor though.

Font - OhDavid MyNacho 54 min. ago If you have a renters insurance policy (idk how that handled outside of the US) they would be the ones to reimburse her for losses, and then they would go after the landlord for their liability.

Font - flourpowerhour 5 hr. ago She needs legal help. See if your city offers low-cost or free advice and they can direct you to someone who can help. That landlord should pay for every bit of stolen property and then some for the inconvenience. They were Totally negligent and put your friend at risk.

Font - Huge_Aerie2435-2 hr. ago Landlords sounds liable for it, and knows it because he offered to cover the costs of some of the items.. Make sure she takes records of all contact she has had with the landlords, because it will be important with the lawyer.

Font - RanaMisteria 2 hr. ago I don't know if it's legal but I would assume so since it's super common. It usually happens in university towns/cities/areas. A landlord will own one or more house and rent out rooms short term to students or people working temporary contracts or people moving to a new area who haven't found their own place yet. I've lived in several.
